MEET RAM
RAM is an extraordinary collective of accomplished studio musicians and vocalists brought together exclusively to perform the original music of Canadian broadcaster, songwriter and producer Rob McConnell. Much like the legendary Wrecking Crew—the gifted studio musicians behind landmark recordings by The Mamas & the Papas, Sonny & Cher, The Beach Boys, Nancy Sinatra and countless others—RAM works behind the scenes, transforming musical ideas into powerful, polished productions.
Every RAM recording begins with Rob McConnell, who writes the lyrics and music and produces each song. Drawing inspiration from his personal experiences, his faith, the people he has encountered and the fascinating guests he has interviewed throughout his broadcasting career, Rob creates songs that tell meaningful stories, touch the heart and encourage listeners to see the world from a different perspective.
RAM brings those songs to life through an impressive combination of musicianship, vocal talent and studio artistry. The group’s versatility allows it to move effortlessly through rock, pop, country, inspirational, contemporary, New Age and cinematic musical styles. Although the individual performers may remain outside the spotlight, their collective sound gives every production its distinctive emotional depth, energy and character.
More than simply a studio group, RAM is the musical voice of Rob McConnell’s creativity. The musicians perform exclusively for his original productions, creating a unique partnership between songwriter, producer and performers. Together, Rob McConnell and RAM produce music designed not merely to entertain, but to inspire, comfort, empower and remind listeners that they are never alone.
